The Judges

Dr Judy Kendall

of Salford University’s Creative Writing faculty may be unable to act as our Judge for 2012 owing to demands on her time. We are very grateful to her for all she has done.

Professor Ursula Hurley

Also lecturing in Creative Writing  at Salford University, Ursula has offered her services once more, commenting on the professional quality of both the entries and the published anthology.

The group of readers who prepared this year’s shortlist proved to be very skilled and intelligent,  marking  the work with interesting, intelligent  comments. It is hoped they will do the same in 2012. It has been decided to run the competition from 1st January to 1st April.
